If a transaction is pending, it means the retailer has sought authorisation from us for the incurred amount, and we have granted approval.
When a transaction is pending, the funds are held and cannot be spent, even though they have not officially left your account.
The retailer now has a 7-day window to settle the transaction, after which it will be marked as ‘Approved’ on the CleverCards app. If the retailer fails to complete the transaction within this timeframe, it will time out, and the funds will be returned to your card.
