When using your CleverCard to complete an online payment, you may be asked to complete 3DS authentication to confirm you are the owner of the card and that nobody else is trying to impersonate you.
When prompted, you have two options:
- Open the CleverCards app on your mobile device and verify the payment within the app. Once verified, simply return to the merchant's screen to finalise your purchase.
- If you don’t have access to the app, select the “Send me a verification code” option to receive a 6-digit verification code via SMS. Enter the code along with your account's 4-digit PIN to verify your purchase. If you don’t remember the PIN, follow the How do I reset my PIN? article.
Once verified by the merchant, you will receive on-screen confirmation, and the transaction will appear in your CleverCards transaction history.
