How to Pay Using Your CleverCard with Apple Wallet (iPhone)

Here’s a quick step-by-step guide to help you make successful payments in-store using your iPhone and Apple Wallet.

This guide is for iPhone users with Face ID or Touch ID

Step 1: Check Your Card Is Added

Make sure your Clever Card is added to your Apple Wallet:

1. Open the Wallet app on your iPhone.

2. Look for your Clever Card.

   • If it’s not there, you can add it from the CleverCards app or via the Wallet app

Step 2: Get Ready to Pay

When you're at the till and ready to pay:

1. Double-click the right-side button on your iPhone (the same one you use to turn the phone on/off).

2. Your default card will appear. If your Clever Card isn’t the default:

   • Tap your screen and select your Clever Card manually.

Step 3: Authenticate

You may be asked to confirm it’s you:

• Use Face ID, Touch ID, or your iPhone passcode.

Step 4: Hold to the Reader

1. Hold the top of your iPhone near the contactless payment terminal.

2. Keep it there for a second or two — until you see Done and a tick ✔️ on screen.

3. That’s it — payment complete!

Common Mistakes to Avoid:

• Tapping the card on screen won’t activate payment.

• Double-tapping the screen itself doesn’t work.

• Double-click the right-side button instead.
