What happens if we outsource our payroll?

If your payroll provider manages your tax payments, they can enter the card details on Revenue.ie when making the Tax Payment and the cardholder (the payroll provider or someone else you name as the cardholder) authorises the Mastercard payment to Revenue.ie for the amount in real time by entering the 3D secure code to authorise the debit card payment.

Often payroll providers will only calculate the payroll and the business makes the payments.
